Author Steffen Teuffel moved from Berlin to sleepy, 'dying' Brandenburg (ex-GDR) small town Krummenwalde with his career bitch wife Beate, who runs the local beverages firm, and their kids. Each seeks still exclusive finds, sneaking and attempting to divert everyone else.
